This 90-minute interactive art empowerment activity was created to teach 4-20 children ages 5-12 years old the following: how to color with crayons or colored pencils; the history of Caribbean Carnival how it become a international cultural celebration originating from a place of resistance; explain the Caribbean Carnival queens contest; and teach children about Caribbean music and dancing.
This is a family-friendly art empowerment activity is designed to expose children to Caribbean culture and art. The children will learn to color in Carnival Queens of different racial backgrounds using crayons or colored pencils. The children will learn about natural and unnatural skin tones.
This group session offers popular Caribbean juice flavors and a candy reward. For an additional cost, you can hire a Caribbean Carnival Queen as a cohost and mistress of ceremonies available for parties of 15-30 children!
