Two NYS Women-Owned Businesses Partner with HVCC to Celebrate Eco-Conscious Businesses
Alessandra Payne owner of Salvage & Shine and Jordon Egleston owner of Uniquely Jordon Boutique partnered with Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC)’s Environmental Sustainability to host the Eco-Conscious Retail Oasis, a vendor market showcasing eco-conscious businesses. The Eco-Conscious Retail Oasis event is in celebration of Earth Day and will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 9AM to 3PM at the HVCC Siek Campus Center. This event is open to the public who will have the opportunity to shop, sample, and bid on eco-conscious products. “I wanted to build a platform for environmentally sustainable businesses to sell their products. A place where customers can meet and learn from concerned business owners about how to live a more eco-conscious lifestyle that reduces pollution and protects our planet,” said Alessandra Payne, owner of Salvage & Shine, an eco-conscious wearable art jewelry business.
“After speaking with Alessandra about her vision, I was so excited to be a part of the Eco-Conscious Retail Oasis planning team. This experience has taught me that there are so many other eco-conscious businesses in the Capital Region.
