Salvage & Shine Donates Handmade Items to In Flight Inc.'s Cornhole For A Cause Raffle

Salvage & Shine proudly partners with In Flight Inc. to vend at their second "Cornhole For A Cause" event presented by MVP Healthcare.  If you have been following from the beginning, you know that I love In Flight Inc.!  They are an amazing non-profits organization that has a loving and supportive community.  I love how they are genuinely committed to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This Saturday, I am returning as a vendor and am proudly donating this custom handmade beaded head warmer and three Christmas tree ornaments.  I look forward to seeing everyone and am so proud to see so many event sponsor and community support.

Headwarmer Product Information

The Beaded Headwarmer is made from acrylic yarn (leftover from a crochet job) and is hand decorated with rhinestones and salvaged beads.  The headwarmer is worn by wrapping it around the wear's head and securing it with the salvaged buttons.  This closure design has been modified for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  In addition to a button closure, the piece also has Velcro closure.

The headwarmer is 26.25 inches / 66.68 centimeters long.  The piece will stretch with wear and the buttons can be adjusted to improve its fit.

This product can be machine washed in cold and tumble dried on low if placed inside of a small lingerie bag prior to washing.

Headwarmer Artistic Inspiration and Motivation

The beaded design pattern is a snowflake.  To me, the snowflake serves as a beautiful symbol of individuality and resilience because a snowflake is created when ice covers dust particles.  Dust is the essence of life and humanity.  Water is essential to maintaining life and humanity.

Christmas Tree Holiday Ornaments

I made these holiday ornaments last year for In Flight Inc.  and Lily Schaub loved them!  When discussing my raffle item selections with her, she asked that I donate them for this event.  I made these pieces as a nod to my wearable art double wrap chain that I am currently selling as an In Flight Inc. fundraiser item in my Charitable Products Collection.

These ornaments were created and designed using antiqued brass jewelry charms, brass metal findings, and salvaged and copper beads.  These three ornaments (two keys and one padlock) will be donated to In Flight Inc. for their "Cornhole For A Cause" raffle.
